Mission of the month, why we are called to serve

 Driven by the tenet that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, we are an outreach congregation seeking to serve our neighbors.  And who better than Mr. Rogers, who told children to "look for the helpers", to inspire us in our mission.  When we first began, we knew we could not necessarily support an organization full time and the concept of Mission of the Month was born.  We choose one community, organization, cause or need to support each month.  We pray for the mission over the course of the month as we gather the items that were requested.  While our focus is mainly on Decatur and Wise County, we have found many opportunities to service neighbors all over North Texas... even as far as Hyderabad, India!  The details of our current Mission of the Month are listed below.
